In other news...

I'm still waiting to hear from the company that interviewed me, a couple of weeks ago.

Their H/R person said it'd be "about two weeks", so this afternoon I left a voicemail expressing my continued interest in their opening and my desire to hear from them soon.

Which reminds me that when I got up this morning, Mevima (angilong's oldest daughter) told me "some guy" had called, but she didn't take a message or get a call-back number. I reminded her that I'm trying to get a job, and that the phone call could have been someone wanting to give me one. That in the future, she should wake me or at the very least get the information I need to return the call.

Feh.

Tonight I had a meaningful discussion with a lady named Melanie about aspects of personal respect and the demands of politeness, vis-a-vis making committments and keeping appointments. Then I took a nap. Both were helpful, albeit in different ways.

Tomorrow (August 1) is the anniversary of my being laid off.
