Operation successful
Aug. 11th, 2005 02:52 pmMy beloved
riverheart and I are home from the oral surgeon's office.
She had three teeth extracted, two of them in the upper jaw and one broken one in the lower; all on the right side. She's still groggy from the anathesia, and I've got her propped up and resting in the bedroom.
She'll be alternating ibuprofen with Tylenol-plus-codeine until the pain subsides. The post-op swelling should begin to go down in three or four days; cold packs are indicated, once she's awake and aware enough to hold one in place.
Before we left, she took a quick look at the well-wishers' comments here, and was greatly heartened by them.
More news as it happens.
