I tend to dwell a lot on how depressed I am, how bad I feel about life and relationships and kids and lack of job. Reading the article reminded me that when I consider everything, I'm still not all that bad off.
I'm breathing, walking, thinking, feeling, loving. I'm loved, cared for, liked for who I am. I have a roof over my head, food in my belly, access to technology only dreamed of by my forebears. I have a can of chocolate covered cashews on my desk and Guiness in the fridge.
I'll be okay
