Shortly after the Columbia disaster, a Usenet poster listed the names of all the astronauts and cosmonauts who have paid the ultimate price, and added "Some day these names will be written under different skies."

Some of them have been.

We need a memorial for all of them though...everyone who has ever died in space or on a launching pad, and I have half a mind to include dogs and chimps as well. Sniff..
