Mother's Day Musings

Y'see, my mom passed into the Summerlands a few years ago, and none of my own kids live with me so I can't help them honor their mothers today, so I'm somewhat at a loss...

Except...

I want to give special greetings to my beloved and betrothed, riverheart, who mothers her three- and four-legged kids better than a lot of people do their two-legged offspring. And I can say Happy Mother's Day to her in the hopeful anticipation that one day she and I will have offspring of our own.

And I — and all of you reading this — should give all honor and thanks to Our Mother the Earth, from whose womb we all were birthed, and to whom we all will one day return. (Unless some of us eventually manage to jump off this grain of dust and fly among the stars, in which case I commend you to Grandmother Cosmos... :)
